Principles and Practice
Dowsing the art of finding something with nothing more than a forked stick – better known as Witching. However, it goes much farther than that; dowsing is the
ancient art of finding an object, or getting an answer by using various tools.
Most people know that certain individuals can find water by doing what is called witching. What is not commonly known is that dowsing/witching is used to find lost articles, minerals, veins of water
(for a well), sacred and historical sites, earth energies (beneficial and non-beneficial), as well as dowsing the human body.
There are societies of dowsers in many countries of the world including Canada. These societies work to further the education of dowsing and extending and promoting its' use. The general public
can join these societies, enjoying companionship and like minds.
There are professional dowsers who work in the different fields mentioned above. Some of these dowsers prefer to work in the area of earth energies, others with health issues, and of course those
who choose to work exclusively with water.
Benefits
The benefit of dowsing is that you can get an answer to a question when all your knowledge and normal senses fail.
Being happily surprised as a new dowser that "it worked!" and you have been of help to others as well as your self.
There is a mystery and excitement in finding new areas of discovery through dowsing.
Ask anyone who has been without water and through dowsing now has water whether there is any benefit.
Ask anyone who has found his or her health improved through the finding and removal of non-beneficial energies, whether there is any benefit.
